My Dad

My dad was taken to the er last night complaining of stomach pains. They gave him a cat scan and did some blood work. his white blood count was up. They figured out that he had a bowel obstuction. They took him to miami valley in the ambulance. They are waiting to see if it works its self out. If that doesn't work he has to have the same surgery he had last time which was for his diverticulitis. So please pray that it will work itself out!

Shooting on my street

County arrested a 26-year-old man early Wednesday morning, July 1, who was wanted for shooting two women in their 60s, including one who held a 2-year-old in her lap, outside of a home in a quiet residential Riverside neighborhood Tuesday night.Bradshaw Taylor was arrested at about 3 a.m. Wednesday at his Somerset home by Perry County Sheriff’s Office officials, said Riverside police chief Mark Reiss. The incident, which occurred at about 9:30 p.m. Tuesday in the 300 block of Lawver Lane, began as a retaliation attempt against a grandson of one of the women and ended with Taylor firing nine shots into a screened-in porch, Reiss said. The victims, whose identities were not released, were taken to Miami Valley Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The home’s owner, who was holding a 2-year-old child when the incident occurred, was shot in the foot, and a visiting neighbor was shot in the shoulder, Reiss said.“This was not a random act,” Reiss said. “He stood on that driveway and shot that porch up.”The incident stemmed from a fight that occurred Saturday night in Miamisburg between Mike Geisel, who lived with his grandmother at the Lawver Lane house, and Chad Denning, Reiss said. The two are friends, but they struggled, and Geisel won the fight, Reiss said.Denning’s wife allegedly called Taylor, her cousin, and asked him to come from Somerset to help in retaliation, Reiss said. After casing the Lawver Lane house over the weekend, Taylor arrived Tuesday night to confront Geisel, Reiss said.Another man at the house came outside to try to calm the situation and was hit in the head with a pipe, apparently by Taylor, Reiss said.Taylor then lifted his shirt to show a gun, and Geisel told the porch’s occupants to take cover, Reiss said. Taylor then fired nine shots toward the porch and struck the two victims, he said.Taylor fled and was later identified through the investigation. Riverside police notified Perry County authorities that Taylor could have returned home, and he was arrested Wednesday morning, Reiss said. Somerset is approximately 45 miles east of Columbus.Riverside police will seek multiple counts of felonious assault against Taylor, and other charges could come as the investigation continues, Reiss said.Taylor was booked into the Perry County Jail.
